ABOUT
Bleachbear is an indie band composed of sisters Tigerlily (vocals/guitar) and Bird Cooley (drums), and cousin Emiko Nakagawa Gantt (bass/keyboards). Their "dream pop grunge" with a glittery vintage twist has earned them acclaim as one of Seattle’s favorite acts. With breezily sweet harmonies layered over a fusion of distortion, Bleachbear is the perfect juxtaposition of fragile and badass.
Bleachbear was named “Seattle's Best Underage Band” by Seattle Weekly following the release of their debut album "Lost Parade” of which Hall of Fame DJ Marco Collins wrote, “MY GOD! That voice. Do yourself a favor, press play on the band’s new record, ‘Lost Parade’ and become enchanted.” Bleachbear worked with veteran grunge pop producer Kurt Bloch (The Fastbacks, Young Fresh Fellows) on their sophomore album “Cowboy Movie Star” which was an ode to western deserts, 1950´s slow dances, and old Hollywood inspired by a book of vintage postcards.
Playing live shows of their original music from ages 12 and 13, but now living on different coasts, they still play occasional reunion shows. Tigerlily now performs her own solo music under "tiger del flor" on Spotify so connect with her on Instagram @tiger.del.flor
